Rating: - Battery Pack for Canon of great benefit
During extensive filming, this battery pack provided reliable use of the Vixia HG20 for many hours. While the battery pack extends beyond the end of the camera when attached, it does not cause a problem in handling the camera nor does it look objectionable. The battery that comes with the HG20 is very short lived and the camera would be of limited value without this option.

This battery is great and a must have if you plan to record long sporting events.

The product is good,
but the cost is too high.I'm not satisfied it is worth the high price now that I have it.But there aren't many options, I hope there will be in the future, so I can afford to buy a second battery; This is the first video camera (of 6 I've owned), that I feel I can't justify buying 2 large batteries.

While the battery that comes with the camera is great for most things, for a two or three day trip this battery is a must.Friends have saved some money with cheaper off brand batteries, there can be problems and I was not willing to risk it to save 30 or 40 bucks.The battery is a little cumbersome, I only put it on when ready to shoot a long set and then put on the small battery when walking around.
