Album Description:
One of America's premier singers of pop standards and Broadway tunes, the former Star Search winner and star of the long running hit musical Jekyll and Hyde is back with a looser, more intimate Country-Pop sound perfectly suited to the thoughtful, introspective songs chosen for this project. Highlights of Linda's new approach include the personally-charged "Pieces", "Make Today Beautiful" and Eder's composition "Waiting for the Fall".In addition, she delivers sensitive readings of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" and "Ghost" by Emily Saliers of The Indigo Girls. Eder's vocal range and stunning talents encompass nearly every style from cabaret to classical. She brings all of these extraordinarily talents to the material on The Other Side of Me her 10th album and Verve debut. A dramatic live performer with a large and passionately devoted audience, Eder will tour throughout the Fall and into 2009.

- Less Than Spectacular
I adore Linda Eder and own every one of her albums.Unfortunately, Linda went in a different musical direction on this CD and some of it works, and some of it doesn't.Linda is in fine voice on this CD.However, many of these track are just plain weak and seem uninspired.
This is about preference and I most certainly prefer Linda singing big band arrangements, swinging Jazz and belting out Broadway showstoppers. I consider myself a loyal fan and I'll just have to be patient and wait ... Read More

- A New Life...
Linda Eder was right when she said that her fans would love it or hate it.. seems like a few people don't share the appreciation for her "true" musical tastes. Although the broadway scene sucked her in to it's clutches and helped her gain the momentum she posesses today, I think it's unfair of critics who condemn her for putting her heart and soul out there for us to experience. Any TRUE fan will embrace this album whole heartedly. Sure.. it doesn't have the witty lyrics and big band arrangements.. but ... Read More

- Downhill
Once upon a time there was a magic trio...Wildhorn-music, Murphy-lyrics and Eder-vocals. Their work was well crafted and executed...the songs told a story and each was unique. The material on this disc is mundane and tedious; even Linda's voice can't rescue it. I definitly prefer her previous side. Save your money.

The Other Side of Me definately is a new side of her style. But, I love her voice so she can sing anything and I'd love it.
