Rating: - a good value, but has its flaws
Overall, a solid choice for the tech inclined and non-first time gps owners. First time gps users and people wanting a simple/straight forward gps device should stay away due to the complex menu system and huge number of options.

- No issues with the routing algorithm so far. They are accurate and calculated quickly (including recalculations). There have been a few quirky routes, but i think all brands do this.

I bought this GPS on Black Friday from Amazon.com and received it in 5 days.This is my first GPS, but I have been researching different brands of GPS for quite some time.In order to write this review, I have been using this unit extensively in the last two+ weeks.I will give my account of the pros and cons according to importance here.

Have owned this GPS unit for about 2 weeks now and Gotta say a great unit for the price. I plugged the unit in to let it charge as recommended and when I turned the GPS on it located it's position in under 2 mins. The hardest part to setting the unit up was unlocking Traffic Alerts....All other Unlock codes are in number sets of 3 while the T.A. code was a number set of 4. Once unlocked it shows the Alert symbol and on 1 test trip once I programmed destination it automatically popped up a T.A. in the ... Read More

Had this GPS for few months. Mounted on the dashborad. One morning it just start showing nothing but a blank screen. Sent it back to Navigon for repairing. Didn't hear from them for a month. Called and was told that something internal has gone bad and they need me to pay for it ?!!!Guess no more Navigon for me then.
